I would like to propagate some dryland taro. It seemed like a little keiki shoot was growing off the kalo. If I cut this off with a little piece of root attached, will it grow into a normal Kalo, or should I not slice it off?
Upland taro is better adapted to uses such as table taro and kulolo, and usually produces poi taro of a lower quality both in viscosity and acceptable
poi souring characteristics compared to
wetland taro, since the fermentation
process can take a different path.
